Results of Genesis 2010!

We would like to inform you the postpone race Genesis Tour will take place at 14.-17.3.2010 in Strazne.

Winter is coming back and it is very likely that it will stay up to new date of Genesis Tour in the middle of March. In spite of this we have to cut down the trails up to about 33km. We would like to ask everybody who wants to participate in postpone Genesis Tour to let us know to our e-mail: pavelpf@volny.cz, up to now we have mail confirmations from only six racers. If we do not have more participants till 8th of March 2010 we have to cancel the race for lack of interest.

Czech part of the race - GENESIS TOUR will take place in Strazne Krkonose from Sunday the 14th till Wednesday the 17th of March 2010. The race program is the same as in January except of Price money of D-LINK TROPHY – we do not announce it after each stage, but just at the end of the race together with dry food GENESIS and CHICOPEE from ASKINO Co,a.s.
We have also Turistic class with stages 14 km and 20km (according to your own choice) and starting fee of 75% of common starting fee. Other info in Race program – Genesis Tour 2010.

Results of Husqvarna 2010!

We have 10 cm of fresh snow. More far falls of snow be planned on tomorow. Conditions on difficult sections are today sufficient. Race starts on Friday, 8 January, night stage about 5 p.m.. Saturday and Sunday without changes. Stake out and the race office are open on Thursday, 7 January. Technical and vet briefing on Thursday, from 2p.m, on stake out. Official Mushers briefing on Friday, 8 January, about 1p.m.. Organizer take decision about hand over 50 % planned financial prizes of Border Rush except prizes HusqvarnaTour.

The snow conditions on part of rout are insufficient. Because we foresee from tomorow the large falls of snow, race will take place in formula 3- days, on Friday ( night stage ) to the Sunday. Because of lack of snow we have to pospone the Race Genesis Tour (Czech Part of Border Rush) in Strazne to new date 7th to 10th of March 2010. About Race Husquarna Tour (Polish part of Border Rush) in Jakuszyce we will decide on Monday 4th of January 2010 and we will inform you again by e-mail. We apologize for any difficulties caused.

We would like to inform you about change of place of presentation, lodgings and musher evening. All happenings will take place at Chalet ZVONAŘKA, it is last chalet on the right side on the road from centre of Stražné to car park Strážné-Lom (about 800m from stake-out). This year is possible to enter for Turistic class. This class is for mushers, who do not want to go through whole trails - it is for musher who would like to train or just ride in Krkonose. We have managed to find the short cuts for long stages (for example 14 km Turistic class instead of proper stage of 40km or 18 km Turistic class instead of proper stage of 34 km). Musher who enters for Turistic class must before each stage announce to race officials, if he/she wants to go through the stage and how many km he/she wants to go, so race officials at the crossings can tell them right direction. Starting fee for Turistic class is 75% of common starting fee. Maximum of 50 teams can start in the race. If more than 50 teams enter for the race, race organizer may refuse some teams especially the teams in Turistic class.

At the end of last winter we have found and tested for you new trails in Strazne. Now the trails will be circles, no like last year when we were going along the same trail both directions. In this case we can start from the fastest teams and also avoid frequency of overtaking. In Jakuszyce we have also new trails with total length 34 km so we will be not going one round twice. More about the length of trails in Race program 2010.

This year we have managed to find sponsors who donate also price money - company D-Link and company Husquarna. Also we still have sponsor who donates 50 sacks of dry food - Genesis and Chicopee. See Race program 2010.

BORDER RUSH is new name of stage race formerly known as GENESIS TOUR or VETAMIX TOUR. We choose non-aligned name to avoid changing the race name in case of new sponsor. Traditionaly the Czech part of the race takes place at trails in Strazne and Polish part again at proof trails in Jakuszyce, we do not use any more trails in Karpacz! See Race program 2010.
